A.Daily inspection and maintenance of EDM consumables

1. Set the temperature of working fluid 20℃ before processing
2. Check the pressure of EDM filters ,replace filters when pressure is over 0.20Mpa. Here are some common filter types for Agie Charmilles, such as 135007724、H342090、YT-240、100343117、H15190-16、YT-32, etc
3. Clean precision EDM filters: 135015401 and 135009681
4. Check the ion exchange resin, please immediately replace it when the conductivity is lower than set value and keeps going down.
5. Clean upper and lower power feed contacts （C001、100432997、100342166）, when there appears few grooves, please rotate the direction or replace the power feed contact.
6. Clean upper or lower EDM wire guides （C101、C102、104433420、104433400）, remove all the cutting impurities on it.
7. Clean upper and lower EDM nozzles （200641617、135006840、200542917、200448672、135001191）, check if there is deformation and damage.
8. Check the quality and tensile strength of the brass wire, check the stability of brass wire during processing.
9. Check the adjustment device of working fluid flow, and confirm if it can be opened and closed normally.
10. Check Wire EDM Centering Eye（100441275、C417）.

B. Weekly inspection and maintenance of Agie Charmilles EDM parts

1. Check the upper and lower injection chamber empty（135016321、204489700） and check if there is deformation or displacement.
2. Check the high-pressure jet pressure and flow rate of working fluid.
3. Check the tension adjustment device of the brass wire.
4. Check the wear of the EDM rollers, here are some common ones, such as 130003173、130003174、130003359、130003360, etc.

Check the wear of EDM drive roller （100542999）.

5. Check whether the diffuser nozzles （135012090、100431787） are damaged.
6. Check the shape of the inner hole and dimensional accuracy of EDM wire guides under a projector.
7. Check the wear of Wire EDM Cutter Z16(100434447)
8. Monthly inspection and maintenance of Agie Charmilles wear parts
9. Lubricate X, Y, U, V, Z axes;
10. Clean and maintain the upper and lower base EDM parts, commonly used parts: 135009643, 135018619 and 200433996, etc.
11. Remove the dust accumulated on the electrical appliance, and check if the cables are damaged or loose;
12. Check the wear of EDM conveyer belts, commonly used types: 135016871, 100446880, 100447506 and 200543463, etc.

Check the wear of EDM carbon brushes 200447082;

6. Check the working condition of the high-pressure jet pump, filter circulating pump and ion exchange resin circulating pump.

In order to make sure that Agie Charmilles LS-WEDM machine tools can be operated normally in any time, in addition to the above regular inspection and maintenance, the operator also needs to pay attention to the observation during the daily processing. In case of abnormal noise, decreased precision, local abnormalities, etc., it is necessary to check and maintain the machine in time to avoid the expansion of the fault, increasing the cost and difficulty of maintenance, and affecting production. In a word, inspection, maintenance, and quick and efficient overhaul are the top priorities to keep machines running efficiently.
